12/14/25 Goodbye oh so Lovely Ventura

Miss me? I'm still the same except much deeper in my God journey ... such a beautiful thing that happens when you begin a New Life! I seem to be starting to live in God's house.

My life for the last nearly 2 months has been beach ... mountain ... beach ... mountain. So incredible.

Ventura is a small beach community somewhat long and not very wide as its expanse begins at the Pacific Ocean and ends at the mountains that nearly reach into the sea.

Ventura Botanical Garden winds up the mountain side for endless miles through varying plant types and lovely sculpture and rock gardens overlooking the sea below. If you make a left instead of a right at the access road you end up here at Father Serra's cross where locals meet to experience God's sunset at the cross.

It feels like I've had quite the taste of eternity here. I'm really in an awe-struck state ... because not only is this so beautiful ... but the beach is so infinite where the eye can see into forever ... and Chelsea can show us what freedom really is.

You might not have heard me say in the video above, I just watched a surfer catch a wave and ride it so long and so beautifully all the way to shore like a lovely ballerina, picked up his board and walked up the stairs to me and I said, "That was so so beautiful", and he looked at me with a most lovely stare and said, "Yah, man, it really was"!

It's hard to believe that a beach town this size would have a courthouse like no other, but they do. I mean, man, it is quite the architectural wonder.

And not a block way ... and it takes up the entire block ... is Cemetery Park where dog owners galore gather and to watch the sunset together. All dogs are off leash and know this park is there's and do not try to wander to all the city streets surrounding. It's pretty amazing. We go here often and hang out with all the friendly and proud dog parents.

And if the allure of Ventura is not enough, 15 miles north, halfway between Ventura and Santa Barbara is Carpenteria, a very quaint beach town with a preserve that follows the bluffs along the Pacific to the lovely downtown. And ... on the way ... is the seal sanctuary. This day they had 49 residents!

I'm reminiscing ... as tomorrow I shall drive north along the bluffs above the Pacific ocean to my new home 25 minutes north in Santa Barbara. I'm beyond thrilled yet sad to leave the wonder I have discovered here in Ventura. I'm on a journey toward what the Lord has in store for me and I have not a single doubt that it is utterly ordained.

Goodbye, for now, Ventura ...

Thank you, Jesus.
